counterbalance ceiling lamp by JJM.Hoogervorst for Anvia. 1950s

A very first edition of the classic counterbalance lamp designed by jjm hoogervorst. This one dates from the mid-1950s and has an adjustable heavy balance weight at one end and a first version aluminium lamp shade at the other. Easy to fit, it just needs to be hooked and wired in. It can be adjusted in various ways as shown. All original vintage condition - it is structurally in good condition but does have superficial age related wear and tear as would be expected: some paint loss in places on the lamp shade and a small edge dent. The inside of the lamp shade has some scratches and paint cracks and loss near to the bulb.
