Model f 152 swivel lounge chair. Designed in the 1970s and made by artifort. Executed in beige leather and a 5 point cast aluminium swivel base. Seat height: 38cm. Despite the age both chairs are in very good condition. Some slight signs of use and age. Very comfortable loungers that will look amazing in every interior. Geoffrey david harcourt, was born in 1935 and educated at the royal college of art in london. In 1962, he designed his first series of small office armchairs for artifort. With his contribution, artifort gains access to the international market of project design. Harcourt initially designs mainly seating furniture for reception areas. His second design for artifort, the 042 series from 1963, is immediately a great international success. His philosophy is that the chair should focus on people and not the other way around. “first the man, then the chair.” harcourt won many awards and was awarded the title “royal designer for industry” in 1978.
