Danish Design Søvaernspendel Lamp by Nordisk Solar

The søvaernspendel is an elegant and thoughtful lamp, considering it was designed for the danish national naval buildings department. This lamp is often accredited to the danish architect, jørn utzon, of sydney opera house fame. This model was originally produced by both louis poulsen and nordisk solar under the name "søvaernspendel" until being reintroduced by louis poulsen as the "doo-wop" to appeal to a more international audience. The orange model was one of the original colours and is no longer in production. This lamp is made of three joined pieces arranged to provide a balance between spot lighting and a warm ambient lighting reflecting off the outer leaves. This particular piece was part of the nordisk solar production series. This lamp is in good condition with no dents or warping. This lamp takes 75w max e27 light bulb and is fitted with 2 meters of electrical cord ready to be installed. Wiring and lightbulb socket is universally compatible. Height: 24 centimeters.
