Mid-Century Oak Display Cabinet with Sliding Glass Doors, United Kingdom, 1970s

This oak display cabinet was manufactured in the United Kingdom during the 1970s. The piece is raised on angled legs, giving it a sense of visual lightness and the distinctive appearance characteristic of the period. The cabinet is crafted from oak wood. The piece features two spacious compartments enclosed by sliding glass doors. The interior shelves provide convenient space for storing and displaying books, porcelain, glassware, or decorative objects. The sliding glass doors not only enhance the light and elegant character of the design but also allow easy access to the contents. The display cabinet has undergone comprehensive woodworking restoration. It was stripped of the old coating and finished with high-quality medium oak wax, which enhances the natural beauty of the wood, highlights the depth of its grain, and provides durable surface protection.
