Important decorative plate in clear crystal, with a sculptural and organic shape, characteristic of modernist glass design from the second half of the 20th century. The piece features a slender and asymmetrical silhouette, animated by a central circular hollow and elongated fluid lines, offering remarkable plays of light and reflections. Thick crystal, worked by moulding and then reworked hot, intended more for decorative or sculptural purposes than for utilitarian use. Signature: Acid-etched signature under the base "Cristallerie Lorraine", French artistic industrial production. Attribution. Production very likely from the Cristallerie de Portieux–Vallérysthal (Vosges, Lorraine), a major producer of French crystal in the 20th century, known for its large modernist decorative pieces. Dating: Circa 1960–1975. Dimensions. Length: 60 cm. Width: 15 cm. Height: 11 cm. Condition. Very good overall condition. Note: slight micro-scratches from use on the underside, no chips or cracks but an invisible micro loss (see last photo enlarged X 2). Style: Modernist / biomorphic design - French decorative crystal of the 20th century. Ideal as a monumental centrepiece, console sculpture, or display piece, in a contemporary or vintage design interior.
