This engraving by rené pinard is countersigned in wooden pencil and numbered 37/50. It has a pretty pitch pine frame and protective glass. The engraving is unfortunately pitted and stained in several places. René pinard (1883-1938) is a french painter and engraver. He was appointed painter of the navy in 1921. Obviously, as a marine painter, most of his work has the theme of the sea, the navy and sailors. Moreover, more often the boats than the sea itself.
