Jules Vieillard Bordeaux cache-pot, large model, blue and white decoration.

Superb large cachepot in fine earthenware with cobalt blue decoration inspired by Chinese motifs (pagodas, figures, lakeside landscapes), typical of Bordeaux productions from the second half of the 19th century. Model with two side handles decorated with a delicate bird in mid-flight. One side in very good condition, with bright and vivid decoration. One side showing significant chips on the upper edge (see photos). Solid structure, no visible through crack. A decorative piece with a lot of charm despite the imperfections. The price has been adjusted taking the chips into account; in perfect condition, its value would be at least doubled.
