Sicilian earthenware basin pendant light, early 20th century

Superb polychrome earthenware basin pendant light from Sicily, early 20th century. These basins were originally hung at the entrance of the house, and accompanied by sconces to highlight the quality of the ornaments. Hand-painted female faces, lions, flowers, the ornaments are superb. Metal chains and a wooden and gilded stucco rosette. In very good condition, some traces of age.
