Scandinavian aluminium & opaline suspension - LYFA design by Bent Karlby

Superb vintage suspension from the 1970s with a bold Scandinavian design, attributed to Danish designer Bent Karlby for the publisher Lyfa. This light fixture consists of a large conical reflector made of brushed aluminium with a perforated collar, surrounding a central globe made of blown white opal glass for soft and warm lighting. Restoration and refurbishment work: Electricity: New socket installed (E27 base) and clean wiring*. *The suspension is sold with its wires ready to be connected to your junction box / DCL ceiling box (not equipped with a male plug). Aluminium: Thorough cleaning and gentle revival of the original patina to restore its shine without altering the brushing of the material. Opal glass: Interior and exterior deeply cleaned. The glass is intact, with no chips or cracks. General condition: Good overall condition. A few light marks or micro-scratches from use remain on the aluminium and glass.
