This is a rare cabinet produced in 1957 by interier praha in czechoslovakia. This piece has a lovely design with rather unusual proportions. The four legs supporting the main cabinet is the same height as the storage part of the cabinet itself. Also it is 56 cm deep which is a lot deeper than most of this type of furniture. The cabinet is made of dark stained oak wood. The main design feature is the smooth curved corners, cut out legs in the shape of the letter ‘l’ and the two round and nicely detailed black bakelite door handles. The inside of the cabinet is a lighter shade of wood. It is protected by two single doors and is divided into two parts. The right side is simple storage space, the left side is split by one shelf. This cabinet will certainly be a stand out piece in any modern, scandi interior. This piece is in good vintage condition with some wear and patina (mainly on the top part) gained from its use over the years. Instead of restoring and polishing the existing wooden surface, we wanted to keep the unique character and celebrate the great patina acquired over the years, making this cabinet one of a kind.
