Coastal marine landscape Oil on canvas by Jaume Mariné I Albamonte

This work is an oil painting on canvas by the Barcelona artist Jaume Marné I Albomonte (1935 - 2012), depicting a coastal landscape. The composition captures a picturesque view of a Mediterranean port (Spanish?), characterised by a colour palette and an impressionistic touch. Executed in oil on canvas, the painting demonstrates mastery of texture and light, with expressive brushstrokes that bring the scene to life. The palette is dominated by marine blues, bright whites for the buildings, and earthy tones for the hills, all enhanced by touches of vibrant colours in the foreground. The work is signed by the artist and dated 1993 on the back, making it a unique piece. A small brass plaque bearing the artist's name is affixed to the frame. The painting is presented in a dark wooden multi-level frame that complements the composition without overwhelming it. The overall condition of the canvas is very good, preserving the integrity of the original colours and texture. This seascape will find its place in a classic or contemporary interior, bringing a touch of escape and serenity. It can be displayed alone on a wall or integrated into an art collection to create an elegant focal point.
