Large vintage duck jug in barbotine – green glazed earthenware – 29 cm

Very pretty zoomorphic jug in glazed earthenware / slipware representing a duck, in beautiful shades of green, ochre, and brown. A particularly decorative model with numerous relief details: plumage, wings, webbed feet, and vegetation. The open beak forms the spout, and the large handle is integrated into the decoration. No visible manufacturer’s mark under the base. A lovely piece for a collection of slipware, animal jugs, or for original vintage decoration. Condition: very good overall condition. No chips or cracks. Some slight signs of age and possible glaze crazing related to its antiquity. Dimensions: Height: 29 cm Body diameter: approximately 10 cm Weight: approximately 800 g
