Cast iron grill

Superb architectural element of the period: large protective grille or door transom in ornate cast iron, preserved in its original wooden frame. The ironwork features beautiful foundry work with spear-point bars and central geometric/scroll motifs. The frame retains its sculpted round metal pull knob at the top. Dimensions: Total dimensions with frame: H 152 cm × W 66 cm × Thickness 5 cm. Dimensions of the grille alone: H 127 cm × W 45 cm × Thickness 2 cm. Weight: Heavy, solid, and authentic piece (solid cast iron). Condition: Sold as is. Beautiful rust patina and aged wood give it all its old-world charm. No major breakage observed on the bars. It can be kept as is for a workshop/antique spirit, brushed and waxed, or stripped and painted according to your desires. • Ideal for reintegration on an entrance door, creating a perforated separation/interior glass wall, original headboard, decorative wall panel, or charming garden trellis.
