An elegant antique ironstone soup plate, signed A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart – Saint-Amand (Nord), Richelieu pattern. A finely printed, deep green floral motif unfolds between a central leafy medallion and a border of delicate scrolls. This botanical poetry embodies the charm of late 19th and early 20th-century tableware. The production period is estimated to be between 1877 and 1895, a time when the Saint-Amand-les-Eaux pottery factory produced its finest printed designs, demonstrating high-quality industrial expertise combined with elegant craftsmanship. On the reverse, the authentic monkey stamp, depicting a small seated monkey holding a globe or shield, underscores the rarity and sought-after nature of this piece. It is emblematic of the factory. The inscription "A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart" in an arc is undoubtedly an important identifier for collectors. Beautiful vintage condition, minor scratches from use, with a well-defined patina on the edge and a small chip underneath; some signs of age consistent with its age. Diameter 22.5 cm, height 3 cm. Perfect for creating a chic, refined, and historically rich heritage table setting.
