An antique cache-pot with a sculptural silhouette, characteristic of the Art Deco aesthetic of the interwar period. Its oval shape, rhythmically adorned with regular and architectural lobes, creates a volume that is both graphic and elegant, designed to be decorative even without plants. The glazing features a turquoise green/mineral green palette, particularly luminous, with subtle variations in tone. The colour, almost aquatic in certain areas, gives the piece a very contemporary presence and makes it easy to integrate into modern interiors. The interior is fully glazed, making the cache-pot perfectly watertight. Under the base, there is a painted stamp under the glaze, associated with a model number “265” and a workshop mark, indicating production from a factory or structured workshop, following a series logic. The whole corresponds to French production from the interwar period (1920s–1930s), likely from a ceramic hub in the North or East of France. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks, very light wear consistent with age. The glaze is well preserved, with a beautiful depth and a smooth touch. There are crazing and a patina of time (see photos). Length 27 cm, width 18 cm, and height 14 cm. A rare and striking piece, a contemporary interpretation of ancient ceramics, highlighted by a mineral hue that has become essential in modern interiors.
