Here is a very beautiful turned stoneware jug with a rather original conical shape featuring ribbed reliefs! It is made of Puisaye stoneware with a lovely glaze blending soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel, and chocolate, materials and colours typical of the 1970s. A beautiful piece of craftsmanship by potter Jean-Pierre Prud’homme, who signed it under the base. Jean-Pierre Prud’homme founded a handmade pottery workshop with his wife in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from Nièvre (Puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today, run by his son Benoît, who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This jug dates from the 1970s and is in perfect condition, with no defects to report. It measures 18.5 cm in height, 13 cm in diameter at the base, and 8 cm in diameter at the opening, with a maximum width of about 16 cm including the handle. I am offering two cups of the same aesthetic (for sale here in my shop).
