Wooden Tea Table, Pakistan, 1920s

Rare antique solid wood afghan tea table from punjab hand made and carved with turned wooden parts from sindh region (north west india). The wooden parts in the shape of spinning tops on the front are movable. The vegetable paint is original. These oriental coffee tables are truly one of a kind and show the greatest craftsmanship of afghan carpenters. A very nicely decorated table with hand colored relief patterns and decorations.
