Vintage oak wall coat rack with braided cord 1960s

This large wall coat rack from the 1960s is made of oak and immediately stands out due to the carefully braided cord. The cord forms a graphic pattern between the round wooden bars and gives the design a warm and artisanal character. At the top, the open shelf offers space for hats, scarves, and other accessories. The long wooden rod can be used for clothes hangers, while the seven tapered wooden hooks provide ample space for coats and bags. The rounded side pieces and organic transitions soften the sturdy construction and give the coat rack a calm appearance. The design has clear Scandinavian influences, but due to the lack of a maker's mark, we consciously assume it is probably Dutch. In our workshop, the wood has been carefully cleaned and retreated, making the warm colour and lively grain beautifully visible again. The coat rack is in neat vintage condition and ready for daily use. With purchase, we provide a bottle of maintenance oil and matching instructions to keep the furniture in optimal condition.
