Rectangular dining table produced by Molteni in the 1970s, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa. It features a walnut veneer top with rounded corners and solid wood legs. The table is extendable thanks to an ingenious extension that unfolds easily, stored under the surface of the main top. Overall good condition, as can be seen in the photos, with some quite deep scratches visible on the top, legs, and sides. There are also a few termite holes on some legs, but this has obviously been treated. The Mou table, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni, is an elegant and versatile creation of Italian design. Made with a precious veneered top and bordered with solid rosewood, it adds a luxurious and distinctive touch to any space. The structure, built with high-quality materials, and its extension mechanism ensure practicality and comfort, easily adapting to different needs for space and socialising. Originally launched in the 1960s, the Mou table remains an icon of timeless style, comfortably accommodating up to 10 people.
