String Shelf, 1960s Era. Iconic model of the String modular system, designed in 1949 by Swedish designer Nisse Strinning. Lacquered steel metal frames, wooden shelves. Modular system: composed of metal side panels and wooden shelves that attach without tools, thanks to ingenious hooks. Clean design: straight lines, minimalist look, typical of the Scandinavian style of the 1950s and 1960s. No signature. Height 69 cm. Width 66 cm. Shelf depth 15 cm. Total depth 16.5 cm. In good general condition: slight oxidation of the metal and signs of use and age on the wood are noted.
