Gunnar Nylund Hedgehog Vase for Rorstrand Sweden 1940s

Beautiful 'hedgehog' vase, designed by the ceramicist, artist and sculptor gunnar nylund in the 1940s for rorstrand sweden. This modernist vase is part of the chamotte series, designed between 1936 and 1948 and was made in 5 different colours and 3 different heights. This particular one is in topaz (mustard) and is the middle size. The vase is stamped at the bottom side. The renowned ceramicist gunnar nylund was the artistic director of rorstrand, one of the oldest ceramics manufacturers in europe. From 1931-1955. His work is represented in several international museums. The vase is in excellent condition, just perfect.
