Joke Stroes Studio Pottery Object for Mobach, Utrecht, Netherlands, 1980s. A magnificent postmodern studio ceramic piece by the renowned master potter Joke Stroes for Mobach, Netherlands. An outstanding and unusual design with a wonderful glossy glaze in shades ranging from purple to red to green. Please note that we also have another work by Joke Stroes that forms a beautiful pair with this one. Joke Stroes (1942-2010) was one of the most avant-garde studio potters at the Mobach workshop in Utrecht, Netherlands. Her creations, until now underestimated, reflect a great avant-garde spirit and evoke postmodernism. These studio pottery pieces, typically glazed with stunning glossy finishes, are true works of art. She spent most of her career at Mobach, starting in the mid-60s and working there until the end of the century.
