France, around 1965-1975. Set consisting of a tablecloth measuring 165 X 155 cm and six matching napkins measuring 58 X 58 cm. Brand new, never used. Entirely made in Cholet, as evidenced by the original label still present. Cholet holds an important place in the history of French textiles. As early as the 19th century, the city developed a significant cotton weaving industry and became one of the major centres for French household linen. Cholet's productions are sought after for their quality of craftsmanship, durability, and lasting colours. Decorated with large checks in turquoise, white, beige, and orange tones characteristic of the 1970s. High-quality cotton weaving. Overall good condition. The set retains its visual freshness and its original label, which has become rare for this type of production. A representative piece of French household linen from the second half of the 20th century, bridging regional textile tradition and the modernist aesthetic of the Glorious Thirties. Price: €78.
