Floral Poetry – Madeleine Defranchi Oil on canvas – 100 × 60 cm – 2024 In this delicate and contemporary work, Madeleine Defranchi captures the fragile poetry of the plant world. Against a misty background of bluish grey and luminous beige, a few yellow flowers emerge lightly, as if suspended in the air. The fine stems and touches of light create a refined, almost meditative composition. The interplay of transparency and texture gives the whole piece a soft and contemplative atmosphere, where nature is suggested rather than described. Floral Poetry enchants with its minimalist elegance and great chromatic sensitivity. Madeleine Defranchi has been painting since childhood. After years of exploring drawing, pastels, and then acrylics, she had a pivotal encounter with Stéphane Beyu, a painter trained at the Moscow School of Fine Arts. For over ten years, his teaching has profoundly nourished her practice. Today, Madeleine works exclusively in oil, driven by a sensitivity attuned to nature and emotion. Each canvas is for her an invitation to share her unique perspective on the world.
