Set of 4 vintage chairs known as “sledge” or “toboggan”, probably dating from the 1960s-1970s in the Baumann style. Very beautiful modernist line with a curved light wood structure, slender side supports, and a suspended padded backrest. Their light and graphic silhouette recalls French post-war furniture productions, particularly in the spirit of Baumann chairs, with a highly sought-after Scandinavian aesthetic. The seats and backs are upholstered in a warm-textured brown mottled fabric, typical of the 60s/70s. The contrast between the glossy light wood and the brown fabric adds a lot of charm and fits well in both vintage interiors and contemporary decor, around a wooden table, a tulip table, or in a mid-century style dining room. The lot includes 4 matching chairs. Condition: good overall vintage condition. Stable structure.
