Very original library staircase that allows you to reach shelves at high levels without being massive. Its grip mat allows you to climb on the upper steps without a balance problem and gives this fluid aspect to the whole. The height of the last step is 148 cm, the steps are spaced 30 cm and the seat of each step is 52cmx21cm. The set can be dated to the end of the 19th century, in honey-coloured resinous and comes from the west of france. A "vendéen" heart is set to fire on the back.
