Beautiful vintage ashtray/trinket dish in ceramic attributed to Vallauris, probably from the 1960s-70s. Very nice free and organic shape, typical of decorative creations from this period, with a particularly expressive multicoloured glaze blending red, green, white, and dark brown tones. The piece bears a handwritten signature around the edge, visible in the photographs. Since this could not be identified with certainty, the piece is offered as attributed to Vallauris, without attribution to a specific ceramicist. A lovely decorative object to use as an ashtray, trinket dish, or bowl, but also interesting as a collectible piece for a vintage, modernist, or Mid-Century interior.
