Grand Art Deco buffet in solid oak - Vintage sideboard

Sumptuous new arrival from the workshop, I present to you this large Art Deco sideboard circa 1930/1940 in raw solid oak. I am in love with its clean lines and the incredible, very graphic motifs of foliage and geometric flowers sculpted into the blond solid oak by a highly inspired cabinetmaker nearly a century ago ♡ I also have a big crush on its original keyholes and its so-called "drop" drawer knobs in chiselled and gilded solid brass ✨ This sideboard has been thoroughly washed, brushed, sanded inside and out, repaired, and treated against wood-eating insects. The inside of the drawers has been painted in a cream shade from Ressource and then finished with a matte varnish. Found without a top, I created a new custom one from an old shelf that I cut and then bevelled at the edges. Left raw, it can optionally be painted in cream to match the drawer interiors, for example. Given its dimensions, it would also be quite possible to transform this wide but shallow and low piece into an original washstand. Thus, you could opt for a special bathroom-resistant varnish. The period keys serve as handles for the doors; the left one locks the door but cannot be removed, while the right one functions.
