The candlestick is in perfect condition, it has retained its beautiful original patina. It is made of iron, and the raw metal has oxidized very slightly on the surface. It has been completely cleaned, polished, and waxed with natural beeswax, which has the effect of stopping rust. It is therefore very dark gray, with warm reflections. This is a unique piece of french regional folk art in brutalist wrought iron, made by hand in the 1950s.
