Photographic print painted with gouache

The initials rm indicate that the photographic print was painted by Count Robert de Montesquiou, who had purchased most of the photographs of the Countess of Castiglione at the death sale of 1901. The Count was inspired by the Lady of Hearts of 'aquiline schad.
