Elegant pair of ceramic vases. Glazed in the style of the Massier workshops in Vallauris. These decorative pieces represent a majestic fleur-de-lis. A stylized, classical emblem treated here with a baroque and modernist touch. Their glaze, with shades of wine lees, celadon green, and pearly highlights, recalls the famous flamboyant and marbled glazes that made the ceramists of Vallauris, notably Clément and Jérôme Massier, famous. The sculptural form and organic base reinforce the decorative and spectacular aspect of these objects, bordering between vase and sculpture. Although unsigned, their style and execution clearly evoke the heritage and expertise of Vallauris production. From the second half of the 20th century. Produced in the 1970s/1980s. Very good overall condition.
