A rare old edition of the 'ETR' (Elliptical Table Rod base) known as the 'Surfboard' coffee table. Designed by Charles Eames in 1951 for Herman Miller. Black laminate table top. Unlike later editions with ordinary plywood, this version has 3 layers of solid pine. The base of the steel rod has been lacquered in black over time to cover the rust. Overall in a good condition, with normal signs of use.
