Nevers earthenware planter

Earthenware planter signed nevers, by antoine montagnon. Beautiful piece of shape, with curved body, certainly a realization late 19th century. Italian renaissance inspired decorations in enamels of great fire, with in each cartridge, 3 loves with quivers on one side, and reading on the other. Each side forming a handle, is decorated with chimera bearing on the coat of arms an erect lion, on a background of fleurs-de-lys. Overall length: 40cm. Inside: 30 X 21 cm. Height: 16 cm. The planter is overall in a more than decent condition, given the age. Trace of use: small jump on the border, (but easily repairable) on the face "loves with quivers" see photo of the detail.
