Yves Gonec – Animated view of Paris Oil on canvas signed at the bottom left

Yves Gonec – Animated view of Paris Oil on canvas signed at the bottom left. Charming animated Parisian scene depicting a market or shopping street in a rainy atmosphere, treated with a lively and expressive touch. The composition plays on the light contrasts of the stalls and the urban silhouettes in a very Parisian spirit of the mid-20th century. Beautiful painterly texture with generous impasto giving relief and dynamism to the whole. Work framed in a patinated classical style frame. Signature: Y. Gonec at the bottom left. Dimensions: Generally in good condition. Frame showing slight signs of use consistent with its age.
