Antique German Pine Wardrobe with Hanging Rail and Shelf, Late 19th Century
An antique wardrobe made of solid pine, originating from Germany and dating to the late 19th century. The wardrobe offers practical storage behind two panelled doors, with a hanging rail and an upper shelf for clothes and accessories. Its simple, elegant design and distinctive wood grain reflect the character of traditional 19th-century furniture. The restoration focused on the wardrobe’s joinery and structure. The cabinet was stabilised, and the doors, hinges and hardware were repaired and adjusted to function properly. The surface was cleaned and protected with shellac and wood oil. Its original patina and signs of age—including small cracks, areas of wear and minor imperfections—have been carefully preserved, retaining the wardrobe’s authentic character. Condition: Structurally stable and fully functional, with authentic age-related surface wear and natural patina.
