This model is emblematic of Italian design, designed by Achille Castiglioni at the request of the publisher Zanotta to design an unconventional chair. It is exhibited in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (source: Pamono) Castiglioni developed design projects for Italian manufacturers wishing to relaunch their activity after the war, such as Flos or Zanotta. The designer's work is minimalist and his objective is to allow the object to fulfill the required functions. The goal was to reach the point where it is no longer possible to do less: "where you could not do less" Legs in black lacquered metal, seat and back covered in fawn-colored leather.
