This handwoven Moroccan rug, measuring 250 × 150 cm, is made from thick natural wool with a matte surface and a slightly irregular tactile texture. The main field is cream in colour, while the upper part features a rectangular block in terracotta pink. The lower edge is adorned with an irregular grid of very dark brown or black dots, applied by hand, creating an organic pattern. Long hand-knotted fringes finish the short sides. The palette is limited to three tones — cream, terracotta pink, and black — forming a minimalist composition inspired by Berber patterns and contemporary design. The weaving is dense and robust, giving the rug a consistent and substantial presence. The design subtly evokes the raw landscapes of the Atlas and the daily life of the Midelt region, where simplicity is found in every detail. The geometric structure and restricted colour scheme recall the tranquillity of homes bathed in morning light, while the irregular dots evoke footprints on desert sand.
