Vintage design. Rare ceiling lamp by Rupert Nikoll based on a design by Emil Stejnar. Here in a particularly large version with a reflective shell. An impressive design, the shapes and details are inspired by flora. The lamp consists of two parts: the reflective bowl and the main body of the fixture. This type of lamp is rarely found in this combination. Fifteen burners extend from a central hemisphere on brass stems. Between the alternating stems are floral glass elements at their tips. The lamps and glass elements create a significant density and blend into a luminous body that appears to extend dynamically. The smaller versions are blinded and bordered by a kind of basket that dissolves into fine white stems. A faceted glass ball on every second stem diffuses the light and generates additional sparkle. The back of the reflective shell secures the lamp to the ceiling. The light that escapes is reflected and distributed by the gentle curvature of the shell. A radially arranged perforation on the edge of the shell provides additional light accents and serves as a decorative detail. The edge of the reflective shell is made of brass. The surfaces have been polished by a craftsman and the electrical system has been renovated.
