Ceramic vase

A large and heavy vintage ceramic vase. Made from red clay, likely produced in germany between the 1950s and 1970s. Has a black glaze on top of which a beautiful flower or plant has been hand-painted in green tints, creating a strong and striking contrast. The shape of the floral drawing reminds us of an artichoke, but it has elements that do not correspond 100% to the way an artichoke looks. Finished with 7 horizontal ribbings around the bottom of the base that lay bare the red-brown colours of the clay. It is hand-marked on the bottom of the base with what seems to be an "r" that is indented in the clay. Stands 32 cm tall, 13 cm wide at its widest point, 8 cm wide at the base. Weighs 1.3 kg.
