Pair of baluster-shaped ceramic vases with a foot from Vallauris, dating from the 1950s. These two pieces, with their elegant curves, feature a textured grey and white enamel decoration imitating "lava", revealing bright orange medallions that energise the whole. A fine example of ceramic work from the Vallauris region, a renowned centre of French artistic pottery in the 20th century, made famous notably by Picasso.
