20th Century Indonesian Carved Coffret, 1930s

We present a large coffret in the shape of a book. It originates from the 1930s, made of exotic wood with a relief-decorated outer surface. It was designed to store writing instruments and includes a removable insert with compartments and a paper knife. The item is in very good condition, although the lock is broken and there is no key.
