Desvres - fourmaintraux brothers. Important pot cache and its polychrome earthenware column of flowered vases and interlacing in the colors and patterns of rouen. Openwork handles. Nineteenth century. Both parts are signed with both ffs and numbered. 115 cm high (75 + 40) A piece of foot glued otherwise very good condition, fresh colors. In desvres, earthenware is a family affair: people devote themselves to it from father to son, whether you are a worker or an entrepreneur. The fourmaintraux dynasty illustrates this well. The founder is fourmaintraux-benard (1764-1841) before his death, he divided his property among his five children. Four of them inherited the two factories and founded the (first) société fourmaintraux frères.
