Engraving representing jean baptiste massé, by louis toqué in 1734, engraved by j.g. Wille, engraver of the king in 1755. Frame baguette in gilded wood after the engraving. For the condition, note freckles in the margin, also wear, friction, scratches, gaps on the frame. Reflections are due to light. Louis tocqué (19 november 1696 – 10 february 1772) was a french portrait painter. Painter of the parisian upper bourgeoisie, tocqué presented at the salon of 1743 among other portraits, two portraits of the same family: mr. Pierre simon mirey (1702-1764), secretary to the king, curator of mortgages, as a hunter holding a rifle and his brother-in-law, mr. Pierre pouan (1689-1765), curator of mortgages in 1750, secretary to the king in 1751, leaning on the back of an armchair, (chaalis, jacquemart andré museum). In 1744, he painted the portrait of the latter's wife madame marie-louise pouan, née mirey and his daughter. For the state thank you to detail the photos. C321. Frame dimensions: height: 62.5 cm.
