Very beautiful and large bowl by Marius Bessone from the 1950s. An uncommon model. In very good condition. A few chips to note on the base. Hardly visible when placed down. The depth of the bowl is 13.5 cm and the height of the foot is 16 cm. Marius Bessone (1929–2001) was a French ceramist from Vallauris, trained in industrial techniques for architecture and ceramic decoration. In 1954, he founded a workshop with his wife Huguette, where they created utilitarian pieces with geometric shapes and bright colours. Bessone is known for his volcanic effect glazes and crystallisations.
