Superb design by Louis Kalff for Philips called Timor 69 Desk Lamp. It was manufactured between 1970 and 1980. This version is in brown and gold, and features a UFO-shaped lampshade with a hole in the middle for a front mirror lamp. This large design piece comes from an old municipal building in Belgium, where it was a large office equipped with these lamps at every workstation. I had eight (!) of these lamps in stock, currently four. All in good vintage condition, but different from those in the photos; if you wish to see the one you will purchase, please send me a message. I also have a black one, a slightly different model, never marketed by Philips as it was ordered by the same company. Check them out in my listings as well. Majore/Timor/Consul: This lamp goes by three names. The first in the seventies was Major. By the end of the 70s, it became Timor 69. The Timor was produced until the 80s. The difference between the two desk lamps is that the Timor is earthed, while the Major is not.
