Florentine Style Giltwood Mirror with Acanthus Crest and Bevelled Glass, It

An elegant Italian Florentine-style mirror dating from the 20th century, distinguished by its gracefully shaped silhouette and richly gilded wooden frame. Inspired by the decorative traditions of Florence, the mirror features a finely carved acanthus leaf crest at the top, complemented by scrolling foliate details that enhance its refined Baroque and Rococo character. The sinuously contoured frame is finished in warm gilt tones with subtle wear and patina, lending the piece an authentic sense of age and decorative charm. The original bevelled mirror plate further enriches the design, catching and reflecting light with added depth and sophistication. Elegant yet versatile, this mirror works beautifully in classical, Hollywood Regency, French-inspired, and eclectic interiors. Whether placed in an entrance hall, powder room, bedroom, or above a console, it serves as both a practical mirror and an eye-catching decorative accent. The mirror remains in good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use, consistent with its history and character.
