pair of authentic LC2 armchairs

Here is a pair of authentic LC2 armchairs, produced by Cassina and designed by the trio of designers Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This model is an icon of modernist design. The structure of each armchair is made of polished chrome steel, forming a visible exoskeleton that supports five independent cushions. The upholstery is in burgundy leather. Designed in 1928 and presented at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1929, the LC2 is part of Cassina's "I Maestri" collection, which guarantees its authenticity and fidelity to the original design. The overall condition of the pair is good. The chrome structures are perfectly preserved. The leather shows some cat scratches, mainly on certain edges and seams. On one of the seats, on the underside, a part of the seam between the fabric and the leather is unstitched. This defect is located under the seat and is therefore not visible during normal use. These marks are visible in the photos and are taken into account in the price. Their cubic design and comfort make them centrepieces for a living room, office, or reception area.
