Chair_One, by Konstantin Grcic for Magis, 2004

Since its launch, the chair_one has met with great success among architects and the general public, quickly becoming an icon of the 21st century. A former student at the royal college of art in london, konstantin grcic founded his studio in munich in 1991, establishing himself thanks to the success of the chair_one, the designer's first project for the manufacturer magis. Designed in a single piece of 2 mm aluminum by die-casting, the seat balances functionality, aesthetics and innovation. It rests on a conical concrete base. With its geometric simplicity, the chair finds its place both indoors and outdoors. Edition: magis, 2004.
