Stool of auxiliary Art-popular in old solid wood

The stool is in very good condition, it is stable and solid, the assemblies do not move. It was made by some skilled handyman in the first half of the twentieth century, with beautiful 2cm thick solid wood planks, which had probably already had a life before. It was indeed common for us to manufacture at home this type of small extra furniture with what we had on hand in the sheds, re-use equipment already well patinated. The boards used have kept the traces of their first life, which gives the object a very special charm... The top is rectangular, and a handle has been cut directly into the thickness of the board to move the stool more easily. The seat height corresponds to the average seat height of a chair (44 cm), and the stool can therefore be used as an extra seat around a table. It can also serve as a bedside in a bedroom, or serve as a small extra tablet near an armchair in a seating area. It has been completely switched to encaustic, and for maintenance it will be enough to rub it from time to time with a soft cloth.
