Alain gaubert is an artist from the Paris region born in 1938. In 1942, he posed for his sculptor uncle, georges violet. After technical and artistic studies, he drew at the grande chaumière in paris where he met zadkine, and at the saint-luc college in liège, in belgium. In 1961, the artist settled in mondoubleau, permanently in his workshop carrefour de lormeau. In 1969, Alain Gaubert was the victim of a car accident and lost the use of his right arm. He had to relearn everything, give up sculpture, wood being his favorite material, he then designed furniture in collaboration with a physiotherapist.
